The mission of I AM UNDERDOG, INC is to empower students to reach their highest potential by providing education and training on how to manage their most valuable asset –themselves.

I AM UNDERDOG INC. is a nonprofit organization that offers comprehensive life planning and mentorship programming designed to inspire high school students and student-athletes. Society does a great job of telling the next generation to develop a plan for their lives without teaching them how to develop the plan. Life planning services for student-athletes and former student-athletes are crucial because they address the unique challenges and opportunities that these individuals face in their academic, athletic, and post-athletic careers.

Additionally, mentorship plays a vital role in the success of young people and a part of the I AM UNDERDOG INC features a Barbershop/Locker-room series that fosters open dialogue and actionable solutions in a culturally significant setting. The series addresses a broad spectrum of issues relevant to male students, inclusive of their challenges and struggles, academic success, mental health, career planning, leadership, cultural identity, and overall school/life.

I AM UNDERDOG INC. provides a powerful platform for culturally relevant and community-centered engagement, aiming to support and facilitate success among high school students and student-athletes through honest dialogue, mutual support, and actionable strategies.
